¡Viva! Los Libros (formerly 51st Ward Books) is Chicago's first bilingual (English/Spanish) bookstore. Founded in 2020, we partner with families, schools, and community organizations to curate and expand bilingual, and culturally-relevant school and home libraries. We believe that reading expands worldviews, supports the critical consciousness of children, and helps to develop the next generation of leaders who will lead us all toward a more just future.
