Prayer vigil/motorcade parade

National Night Out promotes police-community relationships and neighborhood camaraderie to help keep our neighborhood safe. This event aims to increase awareness in our neighborhood about crime prevention.
We gather to pray for anyone who has lost a loved one to violence and to remember Carrie Hotel and Helena Martin who lost their lives in a drive-by shooting in 1995. The Clearing Night Force Neighborhood Watch Group was organized in CAPS Beat 812 after that tragedy.
Following the prayer vigil, we motorcade parade through Beat 812 to raise awareness of our group and working relationship with our Beat officers and the 008th District.  You can decorate your car to support neighborhood safety or just be part of our caravan. We close our evening with cake, coffee, and fellowship at Hale Park Fieldhouse.
We invite families, friends, local businesses, and neighborhood organizations to join us for this event. Whether you want to decorate your car, turn on your porch lights, be outside with your neighbors, or simply pray for lives lost to violence, there’s a place for everyone in our community to make this event a community partnership.  Looking forward to seeing you on August 6, 2024 at 6:30pm.
Please share this with your neighbors.
